To ensure our guests from around America and the world have the absolute best Bluegrass visit, we strive to make our Volunteers’ experiences just as enjoyable! We donate a portion of race proceeds to those groups and individuals who help us the most - plus we feed and clothe you during your time with us, race weekend!

Expo & Packet Pickup
Talon Winery
Help distribute Official Race Swag to our running guests from all around the country while welcoming them to our beautiful Bluegrass Country home!
Divided into three different shifts throughout the day. Food and drinks, plus one of our Official 2024 Race Hoodies provided as our thanks!
20 volunteers needed for each shift
1st Shift: 10:00am - 2:00pm
2nd Shift: 1:30pm - 5:30pm
3rd Shift: 5:00pm - 9:00pm
Saturday, May 11
Race Day Logistics
Talon Winery

Start / Finish Line Crew
Help our guests from all around the country enjoy their race morning experience in true Bluegrass fashion!
Approximately 20 volunteers needed
7:00am - 11:00am
Hydration Stations
Our 13.1 mile course, known around the United States as America’s Prettiest Half Marathon, hosts six different hydration stations positioned along the route to help our runners stay hydrated and well.
Each station needs approximately 5 volunteers
8:30am - 1:00pm
Grounds Crew
There is a lot going on on Race Day, so we need a lot of hands and eyeballs to make sure everyone’s experience is successful!
Approximately 15-20 volunteers needed
11:00am - 3:00pm
Breakdown Crew
Even though our running guests might have crossed the finish line, we still have a lot to do to return Talon’s grounds to “net zero.”
